人的一生可以聆聽多少種聲音？說話的聲音，交通工具行走時的聲音，學校上下課打鐘的聲音。聲音是人們接受資訊的其中一種方式，聽覺將聲音傳遞至大腦，加強人們對事物，甚或環境的想像。
小朋友透過《黑暗星球的神秘生物調查》扮演探險家的過程，把聲音所告訴我們的訊息，從聽得到轉化為摸得到亦看得見的神秘生物，用黏土搓出想像中神秘生物的模樣，反思聽覺在日常觀察中的應用，培養小朋友對七感的概念。
