Creativity is a process. Textures, sounds, and scents could all spark inspiration, allowing us to see shapes, dance in memory, or paint the gestures of winds with our bodies.
Our 2025 theme for PMQ Seed is “Senses in Play”. The five senses familiar to us — vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch — as well as the physical vestibular sense and proprioception, are not only useful receptors, but also tools for creation. By encouraging kids to explore their environment with all seven senses, we hope to foster mindsets that can lead with empathy and respond positively to changes in society.
With a range of literally stimulating activities, our program will be a blast for both action-oriented extroverts and thoughtful introverts. When students take the initiative to explore on their own and make sensory connections, the potential for creative growth may surprise us all.
With the support of the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the Lead Sponsor, we continue to work with a team of local art and design professionals to present a diverse series of experiences, including the Creative Training Class, Creative Summer Festival, Train the Trainer Workshop, Creative Showcase and Seed Online. We are inviting kids and teens from 6 to 14, educators, and parents to join us — let’s dive into a world of senses and explore the rhythms of creativity in play!
The 10-day Creative Showcase will highlight two key programmes: “Creative Training Class” and “Creative Summer Festival”, showcasing the students’ creative achievements.
AaaM architects guided the students in exploring the connection between their emotions and the school environment. By transforming the corners of the campus with interactive device, bringing a fresh experience for themselves and other users at school.

A local art and design studio, Mudwork, led Primary Four students on a sensory adventure at school. The students utilized their senses to explore different corners of the school, rediscovering interesting things they previously ignored.
The teaching team, LittleUrbanMountain Design, led Primary Three students to explore gerontology by interviewing and interacting with the elderly, which helped understand the needs of the older generation and develop empathy.
KENNIFSTUDIO created 'Senses Fantasy' community classes designed for Primary Three to Six students, how would the children express their creativity in a situation where they could not rely on their vision?
The 9-day Creative Summer Festival will feature an array of activities including creative workshops and sharing sessions. Teachers, educators, parents and children aged 6 to 12 are all welcome to participate.
Covering areas including the application of design thinking, children’s education, the Workshop aimed to encourage participants to use relevant knowledge to promote creative education in a daily classroom setting.
