Our teaching team, CreativeKids, led all participants to board on a small boat and sail to the unknown islands. Through the immersive experience of the five senses, parents and kids escape their daily schoolwork and work, relax and immerse themselves in the imaginary world. They then collaborated to paint their own unique island and share their inspiration and designs with others.
CreativeKids then introduced different shapes of bridges around the world, types and characteristics of different form of bridges. Parents and kids were even encouraged to use their bodies simulate bridge construction! Each group of participants began using materials to create their own bridges - beam bridges to cantilever bridges, arch bridges to cable-stayed bridges and more, in various shapes and sizes.
Throughout the creation process, kids needed to communicate with their parents, understand each other's ideas, discuss their roles in making process, and collaborate to complete the bridge together!
In the end, everyone worked together to connect their own bridges with those from other groups and even bridges from other classes! As time passed, the SUPER BRIDGE has been finally completed!
