To many of us, the ocean is a strange yet familiar place. The sea creatures within do not only have strong adaptability, for some of them, it is also part of their nature to save their companions in critical situations. Take the humpback whale for instance, it will rescue other animals from their predicament, which shows that animals can be “empathetic” as well.
The nine-day “GREEN & ME Creative Festival” sets its basecamp at the Courtyard and Marketplace area of PMQ with a number of interactive zones. Participating children and their parents will become various sea creatures in different zones. Young adventurers can take lead and follow the “Mystic Map” to complete the given missions. Through this experience, adventurers of all ages can see from the perspectives of the sea creatures and learn to empathize with them, to better understand and connect with nature, while applying design thinking to help restore our Mother Earth as we reflect on the theme along the journey. Throughout the festival, a series of workshops and sharing sessions will also be held to engage participants in learning more about empathy and design thinking.
