"Toy Rescue" was the topic of the School Outreach Junior Primary. Led by Littleurbanmountain Design, the teaching team guided students to understand the causes and impacts of garbage pollution, and through learning about toy recycling, they gained insights into the recycling process and its limitations. Students worked in groups of six to design and created mobile recycling carts. After the course ends, they promoted toy recycling within the school or utilise the carts for other social activities.

Ideate: With better understanding on the user’s needs and design elements, students used basic materials to try and conceptualise a sketch model of an upcycling station design in 3D
Prototype: Led by the tutor, student worked together to create a 1:1 prototype of the upcycling station and installed the recycled objects on the cart.
